SANTA ANA, Apr. 4, 2007 - (CNS) - Rape charges stemming from an alleged attack on a Lake Forest woman on Sunday were filed Wednesday against a barber who was free on $250,000 bail on rape and sexual battery charges involving two victims when he allegedly committed the new attack.

In the latest attack, White allegedly followed the victim home in the early morning from Patsy's bar on Los Alisos Boulevard and Jeronimo Road, where she had been with friends. He allegedly forced his way into her home when she answered a knock on the door, then raped her, said Jim Amormino of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

White's preliminary hearing on the earlier cases -- a proceeding in which a judge decides if there is enough evidence for a trial -- was scheduled for Friday. But he'll be arraigned instead on the new combined complaint, and now faces a possible life sentence if convicted, Fernandez said.

"His method of operation apparently is he goes to bars in Orange County, finds victims that had been drinking, convinces them that they should not be driving because they'll be arrested for driving under the influence," Amormino said. "We're not sure there are any additional victims. There's a good possibility there are."

Amormino said that in the case from last August, White was at the Atlanta Bar in Huntington Beach with a girlfriend when he allegedly convinced a 19-year-old woman that she should not drive home and that he, along with his girlfriend, would take her home.

White drove the woman home and asked to use the restroom, then emerged nude and allegedly tried to rape the woman, but she fought him off, Amormino said.
