Ottumwa, March 27, 2007--An Ottumwa man is accused of having graphic pictures of minors on his home computer, and during the entire 11-month investigation, he worked with troubled children at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

On Tuesday, the state banned Joseph Curtis from working with children, and will lose his license in April. Some are wondering why he is yet to face criminal charges, but if the allegations prove to be true, Cutris, who has worked with troubled children and adults in Ottumwa for the past ten years, will face serious charges.

Curtis showed up to work Tuesday, but will be out of the job on April 16th, when his resignation goes into effect. The Iowa Board of Social Work Examiners ruled that Curtis can have no contact with minors at the hospital, because investigators found images of nude boys on his home computer. Curtis took his computer to the Coralville Best Buy for service, where the graphic images were discovered.

Investigators also found pictures of Curtis and other people performing sexual acts on his pet dog, as well evidence on Curtis' computer indicating he hypnotized a woman into having sex with his dog.

Channel 13's Mark Tauscheck spoke with Curtis' roommate, who said he had no knowledge of Curtis possessing child pornography or performing sexual acts on his dog.
